ORGANISING 22,000+ PHOTOS

I’ve been feeling overwhelmed by how many photos were in my iCloud library for a while. I love to organise and declutter my physical space, but I sometimes find it quite difficult when it comes to my digital space. But it’s always there in the back of my mind. Photos are the main source of the anxiety. I take a lot of photos, and I’m also guilty of taking a million photos of the same thing and never going back and deleting the extra photos. At the beginning of the year, I had over 22,000 photos and I had no idea how to even start tackling it, so they kept building up.

However, I recently discovered the GetSorted app thanks to The Anna Edit. The app lets you choose a small daily goal (mine is 50) so you make steady progress by simply going through all your photos and selecting ‘keep’ or ‘remove’. It organises photos by month and once you are done sorting an entire month, you hit apply and it deletes the photos you’ve decided to remove from your library. It makes it super easy to get rid of photos I don’t need, as well as rediscover old memories which you can favourite or share straight from the app.

I’ve honestly found it really fun to use, and although it’s gonna take me a while to get through all my photos, it feels good to see the progress.
